Function Description: Support manual editing of individual trees, including creation, deletion, and setting of individual tree points. Detailed instructions are provided below.

Steps

1.Click the Editor OpenPointCloud button and select the category and point cloud file to be edited. And then click the Start Edit button. The point cloud in the 3D window will then be displayed according to the selected individual tree type ID.

2.After starting the edit, an individual tree editing window will automatically pop up. In this window, you can add, delete, or modify individual trees.

3.In the 3D window, click the left mouse button to draw a hexagonal area to be edited. The points in this area will be displayed in the individual tree editing window. Area Editor settings allow you to switch the shape of the area, and support translation (WASD shortcut keys), rotation (QE shortcut keys), expansion, and scaling operations.

4.Click the Load Edit Region OpenPointCloud button in the individual tree editing window to load the point cloud of the area to be edited into memory for editing. If it's not loaded, editing is not supported.

4.If the selection frame was not positioned correctly and missed part of the tree, you can either redraw it or use the "Move"OpenPointCloudfunction in the 3D window to adjust the frame's position.

5.Click the pick Object OpenPointCloud button in the individual tree editing window to view the attribute information of the selected point, including three-dimensional coordinates, GPS time, intensity, RGB, object ID, etc.

6.Create Object: In the individual tree editing window, click the Create Object OpenPointCloud button and select the point cloud of the individual tree by frame to create the individual tree. At this time, the object ID of the points within the selected area will be set to a new object ID, and a new object record will be automatically added to the attribute table. If you want to finely edit the point cloud of an individual tree, you can use the "Set ID by Point Selection" and "Set ID by Frame Selection" operations.

7.Settings: In the individual tree editing window, click the Settings OpenPointCloud button. In the settings window, you can select to display only the points that need to be edited from two dimensions: category and individual tree ID, which can reduce the interference of background point clouds on the editing process and enhance the convenience of operation.

8.Zoom: If the point cloud is moved out of the current window display range and cannot be zoomed back during editing in the Single-Tree window, you can use the zoomOpenPointCloudbutton to scale the selected area of the point cloud back into the current window view.

9.Hide Single Tree: In the single tree editing window, you can use the "Hide Single Tree" function to selectively hide trees that do not need editing. OpenPointCloudThe hidden trees are linked to the visible trees in the settings window. To cancel the hiding, you can recheck the corresponding checkbox.

10.Delete Object: In the individual tree editing window, click the Delete Object OpenPointCloud button to delete an individual tree by point selection. The object ID of the points of this tree in the edit area will be reset to zero, and the object record in the attribute table will be deleted.

11.Set ID By Pick: In the individual tree editing window, click the Set ID By Pick OpenPointCloud button, and then click to select two individual tree points in turn. The object ID of the first clicked tree will be set to the object ID of the second clicked tree. This operation can be used to merge two individual tree point clouds in the edit area or delete a point cloud of an individual tree.

12.Set ID By Polygon: In the individual tree editing window, click the Set ID By Polygon OpenPointCloud button, firstly, frame-select a part of the point, and then click an individual tree (or non-tree point). The object ID of the points in the frame will be set to the object ID of the clicked tree. This operation can be used for fine-editing individual tree points and deletion of framed individual tree points.

13.Undo: In the individual tree editing window, click the Undo OpenPointCloud button to revert to the previous step. Support the "Ctrl+Z" shortcut key.

14.Redo: In the individual tree editing window, click the Redo OpenPointCloud button to advance to the next step. Support the "Ctrl+Y" shortcut key.

15.Save Edit: In the individual tree editing window, click the Save Edit OpenPointCloud button to save the edit to a file. The 3D view on the left will refresh the result. Support the "Ctrl+Shift+S" shortcut key.
