2D Cross-Section Window
Function Description: The 2D cross-section window provides a visual display of measurement data sets and attributes, including operations for node editing, measurements, color settings, and zoom functionalities.
2D Window
Features
- Edit Section Line Nodes: Click the Edit Section Line Nodes button to highlight the section line nodes, making them editable. Drag the nodes to the desired position; the edits will be synchronized in real-time with the point cloud view for intuitive observation of results.
- Add Section Line Nodes: Click the Add Section Line Nodes button to highlight the section nodes and enable editing. Click on the canvas where you want to add a node, and it will automatically be added. As before, the edits will show in the point cloud view in real-time.
- Delete Section Line Nodes: Click the Delete Section Line Nodes button to highlight the section nodes for editing. Hover over the node you wish to delete and click the left mouse button to remove it. Changes will also reflect in the point cloud view immediately.
Note: Deleting nodes cannot be undone; please use this feature cautiously.
- Length Measurement: Click the Length Measurement button to measure lengths in the 2D cross-section window. After clicking, you can select points on the canvas using the left mouse button to measure distances, adjusting the canvas as needed. Double-clicking completes the measurement; clicking “Length Measurement” again ends the session.
- Area Measurement: Click the Area Measurement button to measure areas. After selecting this option, click to draw a rectangle around the area you wish to measure. Double-click to complete the measurement; clicking again on “Area Measurement” ends the session.
- Color Settings: Click the Color Settings button to set the colors of objects displayed in the 2D cross-section.
- Tracking Line: Click the Tracking Line button to display a vertical tracking line corresponding to positions in both the 2D and 3D windows, allowing you to see corresponding positions. Move the tracking line by clicking and dragging the mouse.

- X Interval: Adjust the size of intervals along the X-axis. Combined with Y-axis scale intervals, you can stretch or compress the displayed 2D results horizontally.
- Y Interval: Adjust the size of intervals along the Y-axis. Combined with X-axis scale intervals, you can stretch or compress the displayed 2D results vertically.
For relatively flat surfaces, reducing the Y-axis interval can enhance visibility of small variations. The same applies to the X-axis.

- Attribute Result Visibility Control: Click to toggle the visibility of corresponding attribute names to manage the display of attribute results.

- Reference Group: The 2D display window can show a maximum of two sets of measurement data simultaneously. The reference cross-section is not editable and is used solely for comparison display.
- Comparison Group: The 2D display window can show a maximum of two sets of measurement data simultaneously. The comparison group is the currently active measurement cross-section group, which can be edited.

Function Description: Ends the section analysis and automatically saves the analysis project management file (.section file).
