Vehicle Designer

Function Description: Design vehicles according to actual size parameters.

This function includes one built-in vehicle head and one vehicle carriage parameter file.

Vehicle Carriage Parameter Dialog

Name: Vehicle name
Type: There are two options, vehicle head, and vehicle carriage.
- Main: Refers to the whole of a one-piece vehicle or the head of a tractor.
- Trailer: The carriage of the tractor.
For passenger vehicles, SUVs, and one-piece trucks, the carriage is empty.
Body Length: The length of the vehicle.
Body Height: The height of the vehicle.
Body Width: The width of the vehicle.
Body Offset: The horizontal distance from the vehicle's front to the center of the front wheel.
Hitch Offset: The distance from the center of the towing device to the center of the rear wheel. A positive value means that the center of the towing device is behind the center of the rear wheel, and a negative value means that the center of the towing device is in front of the center of the rear wheel.

For vehicles without a towing device, this parameter is 0.

Ride Height: Distance between the ground and the lowest point of the rigid object on the bottom of the vehicle
Wheel Spacing: The distance measured on the support surface between the symmetric planes of the left and right wheels on the same axle, i.e., the width of the left and right tires.
Wheel Base: The distance from the center of the front axle to the center of the rear axle.

Operations

1.View Existing Files

Select the name list with the left mouse button, and the right information bar will display size data in real time.

2.New Size File Creation

Click the New button, fill in the values in the Information module according to the actual size data, and click save to complete the creation. The vehicle list refreshes the newly created vehicle in real time.

3.Size File Deletion

Select a vehicle file from the vehicle size list with the left mouse button, and click the Delete button to delete the size file.

Built-in files cannot be deleted.

4.Size File Modification

Select a vehicle file from the vehicle size list with the left mouse button, and directly modify the values in the right Information bar. After the modification is completed, click save the modification to complete the size file modification.

Built-in files cannot be modified.

5.Size File Export

Export the selected vehicle from the vehicle size list as a file (.xml file).

6.Size File Import

Import the vehicle size file (.xml file) from external.
