Four-parameter Solution

Summary

According to two or more control points, users can calculate the four parameters that used to perform coordinate system transformation. The four parameters include two translation parameters, dx and dy, a rotation parameter, T, and a scaling factor, K.

Usage

Click Data Management > Projections and Transformations > Four-parameter Solution

Setting

  • Source File: Input the file with the source coordinates of control points. File should be in txt format. Each point should be written in a row. X and Y coordinates should be separated by comma.
  • Target File: Input the file with the targeted coordinates of control points. File should be in txt format. Each point should be written in a row. X and Y coordinates should be separated by comma.
  • Swap: Clicking this button, the source file and target file will be swapped from each other.
  • Output Path: Output the report of the result of four parameters calculation to the user-defined path.
